Sira Duson, MD, MBA, FACS

Currently serves as SBVS Treasurer. Dr Sira Mary Duson is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and a board-certified vascular surgeon at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee. She earned her medical degree at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, general surgery training at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, and vascular surgery fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital/MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. Dr. Duson is a reviewer for the Journal of Vascular Surgery and Annals of Vascular Surgery. Her research has been published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery, Endovascular Today, Perspectives in Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy, and Vascular Dis Management.  Her primary areas of research interest include limb salvage, descending thoracic aortic disease, and abdominal aortic disease. Her hobbies are traveling, interior design, singing, and piano playing.
